New Report on the Economic Impacts of Climate Change
The study investigates three major sectors: energy demand, water resources related to electricity production and agriculture. Case studies are used in each sector to indicate the trend of economic impacts of climate change. In doing so, the study intends to pave the way for more in-depth examinations of climate change that will be able to link the physical impacts of climate change to economic impacts. Having a better idea of the economic impacts will make it possible to then better assess options for becoming more climate-resilient.

UNDP takes part in a global campaign against corruption
Fighting corruption is a global concern because corruption is found in both rich and poor countries, and evidence shows that it hurts poor people disproportionately. It contributes to instability, poverty and is a dominant factor driving fragile countries towards state failure.
Governments, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, the media and citizens around the world are joining forces to fight this crime. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) are at the forefront of these efforts.

Local leaders say a key ingredient for success was empowering the local Commission for Inter-Community Relations (CICR).

UNDP helps people build better lives. As the country looks towards the European Union, we support the government to build an inclusive society--where everyone has access to services and can participate in making decisions that affect their lives. With an eye on a sustainable future, we also help the nation to meet longstanding and emerging environmental challenges. Our support involves developing human and institutional capacities, providing knowledge, demonstrating solutions, building partnerships, and raising funds for development.

Energy and Environment
By demonstrating what is possible on the ground, UNDP helps decision makers to incorporate action against pollution, biodiversity loss, and climate change into the work of their institutions. Investing today promotes people’s health, food security, and quality of life but could also deliver financial benefits in the future, so UNDP also helps explore options such as sustainable tourism development.
